The event host can only select one charitable organization to receive donations from their event. However, they can change the beneficiary organization as many times as they want. For instance, if you've set up an anniversary party using Evite, after you've raised $250 for your favorite cause, you can switch the recipient organization so that new donations go to your spouse's favorite charity.
