Some of our donation forms, including those for Evite, have an optional tip with a default value. This is in lieu of charging a fixed percentage of the donation.

The tip helps pay for US-based developers and other staff, donation accounting and tax reporting, US-based customer support, medical insurance for our employees, and all the other costs of providing this service.
